El Mañana dedicates their new single, ‘Nadie’, to the legacy of his uncle, Michael Murcia. It was at the age of 18 that his uncle, a young musician from Bogotá, Colombia, took his own life. Although having been born until after his uncle’s passing, El Mañana’s, Danny Murcia, was heavily influenced by the stories about his uncle. He resonated with their shared musical interest and later, while going through his mental health journey, found solace in his uncle’s memory.

“Desde niño me he sentido espiritual y musicalmente conectado a un tío que murió joven, antes de nacer yo”

El Mañana wrote this song as a tribute to his uncle’s spirit and impact. Taking influence from Spanish indie-rock, ‘Nadie’ details the yearning to meet someone who passed on but whose legacy still lives on.
